 || What is Luxury ||

Luxury today refers to having a position of high comfort and living extravagantly in a fast-growing, social media-driven world. Wealthy individuals display or showcase their riches in such a way that it gives the impression that they live a lavish lifestyle, but they may not be in good mental health or be in a positive state of mind to interact with other people because they believe their position cannot be compared to that of others. Luxury is not something you acquire, according to our ancestors. Luxury is similar to how you describe your personal values. It's anything that shows the choices you've made throughout your life. If I were to claim that I am a professional, my life would include helpers like a maid, cook, driver, or members of my staff. That is not luxury; rather, it is convenient for more people and better work. Luxurious living requires humility as well. A person with great intellectual capacity or higher cognitive processes should possess modesty, prudence, knowledge, attractiveness, elegance, and refinement, but not excess or sensuality.

It means Existence eats ego. Why are you laughing, Nath? goes a story about Lord Krishna. Rukmani questioned Shri Krishna. Arjun, my devotee, Lord Krishna, said, cannot understand that eating ego is part of my diet. The Brahmin outside heard Arjun say, "This time your wife is pregnant. I'll protect her child. Even if I have to battle Yama, I will fight." The Brahmin asked, "And what if you cannot protect the child?" Arjun replied, "I'm going to die." Lord Krishna asked Arjun, "What happened? Is the child not protected in Dwarka?" Arjun was still speaking through an egotistical mouth. "Protect the kid. Haven't you taken the promise of protection?" Shri Krishna smiled at Arjuna and patted him on the back.

It was time for birth after nine months, and the baby was delivered. Arjun, who was on watch outside, also heard the boy's cry, but it wasn't long before the sound could be heard in the sky. Shocked, Arjun began to gaze up at the sky, but all he could hear was sobbing. The Brahmins were crying. They passed out. Arjun was blamed by everyone. They  "Because of you, we were unable to see the child's face this time. You are to blame, Arjun! Shame on your Gandiva." Arjun  headed directly to Yamraj. Yamraj had bluntly stated, "Dwarika is the Vaikunth of the earth. We cannot even touch the people there." Then he visited Brahma, the creator. Brahma stated, "Arjun! I did not create this child." When Arjuna came back with no hope, he was prepared to fulfil the vow that he made.  For him, a funeral pyre was built. "God ! Arjun is going to die" Rukmini informs Shri Krishna. "Everyone is dies, who is immortal here Devi?" Shri Krishna replied.

When Rukmani saw Shri Krishna treating Arjun harshly, she was shocked. When Arjun was about to give Lord Krishna a hug for the final time, Shri Krishna refused and smiled instead. Lord Krishna stated, "Great siddhas' egos don't live forever . I said that your ego is like my food." When Arjun saw what Lord Krishna was aiming at, his ego was crushed. Lord Krishna took hold of his hand and stopped him from dying.

Recently, on Children's Day, several students from an international school came to our clinic to watch how special needs children overcome obstacles and transition from nonverbal to vocal communication while having poor perception of some organs. They were all in grades 11 and 12, and they all came from wealthy families. Some children were present physically, but their minds were elsewhere. They were only there because the teacher made attending our institute mandatory. Since a field trip to the institution was scheduled, everyone skipped one lesson. Some children showed a significant amount of interest in and had excellent interactions with special kids. Some children posed questions from a professional perspective, while others did so from a business perspective. Those children's inquisitiveness seemed to be a luxury of intelligence.

We also did a hearing-aid fitting for one of the underprivileged children in front of them. They saw the child who was not hearing everything and now is, but still some of the kids only feel that perception of understanding how someone's potential and passion can change the lives of many people. Just imagine the impact we are having on our children and where they are headed! Where do they want to put their intelligence to use? Despite the fact that we are exposing kids to more, we feel as though their way of thinking is becoming more narrow in scope. Their intelligence for others is being channeled solely towards themselves. I believed it was time for Lord Krishna to come and lead us all after watching the behavior of these kids.

The best part was that, when they observed special children, those special children were really inspired to participate in activities. They were so eager since so many young adults were watching them. One of the special children, who was just 7 years old, gave a detailed explanation of the mountain after the psychologist had given him a photograph of it. He cited mountains as a symbol of progress and optimism.

If you simply go up and are careless, you run the risk of falling. He talked about Mount Everest, which has the highest summit, as well. He also demonstrated by writing, sketching, and gesturing. The children from the international schools were astounded to see those children. One could tell that those special kids were luxuriating in their happiness, and it was incredible how courageous they were. I hope they learned a lot from these special kids who know how to handle these difficulties with grace.

  2. Very educative.
    But, whether the so called elite students do really change their perception about specially abled less privileged students is a moot point.
