|| Becoming is better than being ||
Although we are all human, being human is not enough; we must strive each day to become better humans. We are losing a great deal of our lives in this rat race, from the process of taking birth in this universe to being a person to becoming a robot. The reality is that we are always preoccupied with our priorities, appointments, social engagements with family and friends, and job schedules that we neglect to take care of our well-being. Only through self-knowledge, self-control, and the development of social consciousness can our well-being improve beyond our "being human" on this planet. Physical awareness, which is observable, has conducted an extensive amount of study during this pandemic and produced a wide variety of foods, nutrition, and other permutations and combinations. People are switching from non-vegetarian food to vegetarian, organic, vegan, gluten-free, and many other types of food all over the world. But what about a person's mental health and well-being? Do we have our attention on this yet?
War, terrorism, developing nuclear weapons to kill people, stealing from each other's wealth, relationships, a lack of morals, avoiding one another's responsibilities, losing patience, and being envious of others' advancement are just a few of the negative thought processes that have taken place in our society as a whole. We desperately need a ray of light and some hope for the future. But who is capable of that? The first thing to do is learn to become better than what you are as a human being. We can only do it as human beings. Researchers say humans will only exist in the future if and only if human beings will work hard to be better than what they are with creativity, emotional intelligence, and an individual who will use their potential in the best possible manner. Here, emotional intelligence with self-awareness of the physical and mental health of an individual, self-regulation in dealing with things, may it be in education, managing a profession, relationships with others, or social awareness, being kind to each other is the only way this universe will survive with human beings.
In the snooker world cup, two of our intelligent Indian women defeated 12-time world champions Amee Kamani and Anupa Ramchandran. I've also heard that the world boxing championship gave four gold medals to Saweety Boora, Nikhat Zareen, Nitu Ghanghas, and Lovlina Borgohain. In the 2023 South Asian Championship and Asian Triathlon, athlete Rahul Shinde finished 11th out of 42 competitors. Additionally, we just learned that Indian cricketer Rinku Singh hit five consecutive sixes to help his team win a tough game. Our human brain works best when we are given challenges, but winning a physical game is yet possible, but what about winning mental health challenges? When will we see Swami Vivekananda, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad Pygamber, Mahavir Tirthankar, Mahaprabhuji, and other saints who devoted their lives to changing the emotional and mental mindsets of people? Their only karma was to teach people kindness and become better human beings than just being.
Almost every human being in this universe practices a particular religion, and all of them hold the notion that the universe was created by a single deity. God is ever-present, sees everything, and knows everything. God created all people, and his grace is like the sunlight that falls evenly on everyone regardless of caste or gender. It also sheds equal light on the creatures that do not include humans or nature. Currently, all of these creatures, including animals, birds, and nature's plants, rivers, oceans, and many others, do not change but instead strive for their own well-being. Why, then, are only human beings capable of change and difference simply because they have the capacity to think? Men and women are treated differently, and women are viewed as inferior to males. However, disciples of God have long maintained that men and women are equal and that both have the right to do God's seva. Therefore, why not act in the same way and treat everyone equally in order to exist in this universe?
Becoming a better being starts with gender equality. Another important aspect is spirituality, which is not only doing prayers or going to temples; it is also having faith that god exists and believing that everything will happen for him as long as he exists among us. All the religious book says an individual should always pay attention to what he should do (his duty) and not to what he should get because God knows what should be given to him. (This means, as I said earlier, using your beating potential of yours.) So an individual should always keep smiling and pay attention to his own duties with self-awareness and self-regulation (which means creativity) because God doesn't need a reminder of what should be given to us and when. It means we humans have to do just good karma (managing emotional intelligence) before only god will make us survive with happiness in this universe.
Recently, we have been hearing about war, the development of nuclear weapons for destruction, the development of viruses to cause human suffering, an increase in crimes, and people shooting each other out of rage. Recently, I also heard a well-known personality ask for someone's admission despite the fact that the boy had engaged in academic dishonesty. We frequently receive calls from parents who claim that they can handle employment but not children. Give them every amenity, and then see that they are not listening, engaging in comparison and competition, losing patience, and disregarding our own values. where, when, and which and in what way and for whom, and how we should do now? Today, each and every part of our human needs change, stability, emotions, respect, values, etc. We need to sit and think and work hard to become better human beings than just being in every aspect of life.
Human beings can only survive on human values, which are described by almost all ancient writers. According to them, values develop like a tree with flowers and fruits, and the tree that represents our education is where we learn different subjects to work on as well as human values and kindness. However, this tree of education is only shaken up by unfavorable factors, which determine how and where change will occur. Does one need to consider it? Let's strive to improve ourselves and go beyond simply being human by working with a positive outlook.
Even though he made scientific discoveries, scientist Albert Einstein claims that the universe is governed by someone who is above all of us. Our beloved leader, the late Abdul Kalam, said that his father cured children with just a water spray and that, because of his unwavering trust in God, no scientist could explain how it happened. Because of the loss of one's sense of trust in God, self-assurance, and compassion, it is challenging to survive for one's overall well-being. My suggestion is to sit and think, work towards positivity, and work towards kindness the way I have started spreading positivity among people, helping people with special needs with humanity, working to give strength to healthy relationships through counseling them, learning good things from every individual, and looking for a better future on this planet. It is only possible if I am on a path to becoming better than I am. If I can do it, why not you all, human beings?
