Save Humanity

 || Save Humanity ||

We learn about religion and spirituality apart from our formal education in our day-to-day lives. We learn about divine feelings, which can only be learned by humanity on this earth. As we know, our conscious mind accounts for 20% of our education, while 80% comes from our feelings derived from our environment, executed by our unconscious mind. This behavior of the unconscious mind in today's scientific world has reached its pinnacle. The world is shrinking with self-motives, random desires, undisciplined impulses, and many other negative circumstances. It is said that humanity comes first in this universe, preceding nationality. Our compassion for humans around us should take precedence over our religion in this universe, and accepting another person easily is more important than formalities in this universe. Therefore, for humans to exist in this universe, we need to preserve humanity and to achieve that, we must spread love with compassion and do our good deeds to the best of our potential.

A child is born, and parents do their best with love and compassion for the child's growth, which is called humanity. Kids do their best for their parents in their old age, giving respect to what they have done for them, which is called humanity. You will always be there for your family in their ups and downs, it reflects humanity. Our Indian culture encourages people to still live in joint families and be there to support each other, which is called humanity. Many corporate companies design insurance or some policies to help their employees and their families, which is called humanity. There are a lot of non-profit organizations like Lions and Rotary clubs and philanthropic donors, who want to help society. Their thought process of helping someone is humanity. But just doing this is enough? We must strive to practice humanity in a manner that prevents others from needing help again, whether it's physical, mental, emotional, or financial support.

I recently listened to a discussion on artificial intelligence, where someone asked how it is going to affect human life. It's nicely written that science is a gift for humanity; it's only when we don't misuse or distort it. With the help of solar energy, even if there is no electricity, we all can survive. Similarly, robots that perform human work can reduce stress or generate more work, but they cannot replace humanity. As the world progresses, the human population is also increasing. To fulfill the needs of all humans on Earth, science is helping to improve the quality of work. Therefore, we need to approach the thought process of artificial intelligence in the right manner.

Due to the technology revolution, we have helped over 1800 hearing-impaired kids with hearing aids featuring digital technology, which reduces noise and emphasizes speech. As a result, children can speak language and hear near-normal like us. Here, the good quality of technology has helped us change so many lives. Many kids have integrated into the mainstream and are leading normal lives. If you view it positively, science and technology reduce nuisance and improve the quality of survival. Just as Lord Krishna lifted Govardhan Parvata with one small finger and served humanity, saving people from calamity, similarly, good and positive vibes, along with technology in the right direction, can save humanity.

A few years ago, someone connected with me via phone and asked do I work with the hearing impaired. He introduced himself as a journalist and expressed his interest in interviewing me. During our conversation, I noticed that his speech wasn't clear, and he seemed to have trouble understanding me. I realized he might have hearing issues, so I asked, and indeed, he confirmed that he is congenitally deaf, with an 80% hearing loss. He didn't have good hearing aids, which caused him difficulty in understanding and speaking. I said, "Let me improve your hearing, and then once you start hearing and speaking well you can take my interview." He did send me an audiogram from Lucknow and I sent him free digital hearing aids to his requirement from Mumbai. He started hearing well, and he did take my interview online.

Recently, I visited Lucknow and messaged him, as we had been in contact by phone to receive his updates. After receiving good hearing aids, he got married to a supportive wife, and all the people in his village were happy with his progress. He also received good opportunities in journalism. Recently, he was assigned an election duty to interview people. He came to meet me in Lucknow, traveling more than 150 km. I felt glad to see his progress and felt that my efforts for humanity had changed someone's life. One should help someone in such a manner that their morale is boosted, they become self-dependent, and they never have to ask for support again. That is real humanity.

While engaging in acts of humanity, it's crucial to prioritize quality over quantity. Often, people suggest opting for low-cost hearing aids, questioning the need for expensive technology. However, I believe that the right technology can profoundly impact and change the lives of many individuals. We have never compromised on the quality of fitting digital hearing aids, nor have we taken shortcuts. Over the years, adhering to ethics and principles and approaching our work with a genuine human touch has enabled us to make a difference in the lives of countless people. Similarly, I once read a story about a physically handicapped individual begging on the road. Someone left a weight machine for him, which initially surprised him. However, as people began to come and use the machine, leaving money behind, he started guiding them on how to reduce weight. Despite his disability, with the right touch of humanity, he was able to support his family without begging.

Animals, though lacking complex brains, exhibit their own form of humanity towards nature. Recently, a baby whale witnessed its mother becoming trapped at sea, and it sought human assistance to rescue her, expressing gratitude through its magical movements in the water. Saving humanity is the real imperative in today's world, encompassing physical, mental, emotional, and financial support. However, this support must be provided in the right manner, with quality and efficacy, aiming to empower individuals to become self-sufficient and to extend help to others, thus fostering widespread positive humanity. Let's preserve humanity through impactful acts of survival and support.
