The Ripple Effect of Positivity....
Today marks my 250th article on positivity. Sometimes, I wonder when I first thought of this idea, how it all started, and how I managed to write 250 articles on positivity without interruption. I don’t know how many people have read them, how many have benefited from them, or how people have perceived my perspective on positivity. But as an individual, I have felt a change within myself. The ripple effect of spreading positivity was created in me by the hearing-impaired children I interact with every day. God has given these special children a unique strength—they possess immense positivity and an extraordinary ability to face challenges daily. For them, positivity is a way of life. For us, the best is always in the future—tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow. The most inspiring part is that, while we often hear of people struggling with mental health issues due to genetic predisposition, environmental stressors, or chemical imbalances in the brain, these special children, despite having one of their senses impaired, continue to give their best with their abilities.
Recently, we have been witnessing the ripple effect of spirituality in our country through the Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj. Although we have undergone a scientific revolution driven by innovation, the deep-rooted impact of our ancestors, our deities, and the sacred scriptures has generated a powerful spiritual wave. The Maha Kumbh Mela is not just a ripple effect of spirituality or a religious gathering; it is a divine experience that embodies our rich cultural heritage, which has thrived in our country for centuries. According to ancient texts, many years ago, when devas (gods) and asuras (demons) were battling for the Amrit Kalash (pot of nectar), drops of the divine nectar fell at four places—Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain. As a result, the Kumbh Mela is organized at each of these four locations every 12 years. After completing this cycle, once every 144 years, the grand Maha Kumbh Mela takes place.
Just imagine experiencing a natural calamity, bringing with it a ripple effect of health issues, negativity, and countless ups and downs in life. And yet, today, we Indians are witnessing the ripple effect of spirituality—a sign of positivity that reminds us that, no matter what happens, God still exists. If we continue to do good karmas and righteous deeds, fighting against negative thoughts and influences, God will either take rebirth or manifest His presence through divine events like the Maha Kumbh Mela. The presence of the Almighty, or cosmic power, is drawing people from all around the world to witness this grand event. Some come simply to visit, some seek liberation from their sins, while others arrive due to recommendations or personal beliefs. There are countless reasons, but I believe this is the biggest ripple effect of positivity—a profound opportunity for individuals to perceive and connect with the cosmic power of God in their own unique way.
Since the Maha Kumbh Mela began, I have heard countless stories about it, as millions of people from all around the world are visiting. Prayagraj is the sacred place where three auspicious rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati—converge at Triveni Sangam, where many sants (saints) and sadhus take a holy bath. They believe that these rivers possess cosmic power, capable of washing away negativity and purifying the body, guiding one toward positivity and a better future. There are also certain special days during the Maha Kumbh Mela that are considered highly auspicious for taking a holy dip. It is said that during this grand event, saints and spiritual leaders from various philosophical traditions gather here to exchange their knowledge of spirituality. I sincerely hope that this exchange of wisdom creates a powerful ripple effect of positivity within us all.
I have heard that despite millions of people visiting, there are well-organized facilities to accommodate them, along with proper food arrangements and comfortable places to stay. Although people have to walk long distances to pray, take a holy bath, or help others, they are willing to be flexible. Everyone is sharing their experiences, including celebrities, politicians, and other well-known figures who are visiting the Maha Kumbh Mela. A remarkable level of cleanliness has also been observed, making it easier for people to participate in this grand event. We, as ordinary individuals, often complain about unclean surroundings. Yet, despite millions of people taking a dip in the river, we willingly join hands to contribute to the smooth functioning of this massive event. So why does this ripple effect of togetherness, where we overlook each other's flaws, happen only during such occasions? Why is it not possible to carry this spirit into our daily lives?
We recently witnessed a massive ripple effect of music in our country when an international band performed here. The response, especially from the youth, was overwhelming. Lakhs of people bought tickets at unimaginable prices, and many traveled long distances just to witness the event. The concert was commercially organized in a highly professional and systematic manner, ensuring there was no chaos during the event. People enjoyed the music, maintained discipline, showed respect to the artists, and demonstrated many other positive behaviors. Yet, I have just one question—why can't we implement this same level of encouragement and respect for others in our daily lives? If the music of just one artist can create such a powerful ripple effect, imagine how different life would be if we all came together and worked towards a better future!
Understanding the ripple effect from special hearing-impaired children, the divine energy of spirituality from the Maha Kumbh, and the power of music, I truly believe that we Indians possess a vibrant and powerful cosmic energy—we just need to recognize and embrace it. What we truly need is self-reprogramming—a kind of intentional brainwashing that involves consciously creating a ripple effect of positivity every moment. By consistently reinforcing positive thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors, we can train our subconscious mind to believe that nothing is impossible if we choose to act with positivity.
The ripple effect of positivity that I have learned from these special children is that you don’t have to be physically present at the Maha Kumbh Mela or witness a powerful musical performance to experience something profound. What truly matters is the daily effort to become a better version of yourself.
- Abundance flows into life with ease and grace when we receive it with open arms.
- Even if one sense organ doesn’t function, we can engage all our other senses and immerse ourselves in the emotions of success and fulfillment.
- Stepping out of your comfort zone may feel uncomfortable, but it is essential for growth and transformation.
- Thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have immense power to shape our lives. If we stay consistent, this ripple effect of positivity will lead to remarkable changes and a more abundant life.
I have learned to maintain consistency, and with this ripple effect of positivity, I have reached my 250th article.
What about you all?
