When Hearts Choose Hope, Miracles Begin....

When Hearts Choose Hope, Miracles Begin...

Life often reveals its deepest truths when we pause and truly listen, just like those rare moments when we look up at the sky and suddenly feel life guiding us from within. Perspective has been my greatest teacher. Many people may know our name, but only a few understand who we truly are beneath the surface. Working with hearing-impaired children has allowed me to discover this truth every day. I recall a little girl who once walked into therapy tightly holding her mother’s dupatta, frightened to even meet my eyes. But the moment she heard the soft chime of a bell for the very first time, her eyes widened with wonder, as if a completely new world had unfolded inside her. In that instant, I realized again that every child carries a universe waiting to bloom.

Faith has played a profound role in shaping this journey. I have seen families come in with trembling hands and uncertain hearts, unsure if their child will ever speak or be understood. And yet, like a tiny flower pushing through iron gates, hope always finds its way. I remember a father who sold his old scooter so his son could get proper therapy. He told me, “Madam, this is not a sacrifice. This is an investment in his voice.” Today, that same boy confidently recites full sentences. Moments like these remind me that when belief and action walk together, life creates miracles silently, gracefully, and powerfully.

In my own life, the teachings of Lord Krishna from the Bhagavad Gita have been an anchor. One incident that has always stayed with me is the moment when Arjuna stands on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, overwhelmed and refusing to fight. Krishna does not promise him victory; instead, He guides him to focus on righteous action alone. “You have the right to perform your duty, but not the right to the fruits of your actions.” Krishna teaches Arjuna, and all of us, that clarity, courage, and purpose arise when we work without attachment to outcomes. This moment changed Arjuna’s destiny, and it has shaped mine too. In my mission, whether I fit hearing aids, counsel parents, or fight for inclusion, I remind myself that my duty is to serve with sincerity. The results, the victories, the recognition, the transformations, unfold on their own when karma is honest and intention is pure.

Nature also carries lessons that mirror this journey beautifully. Every sunset softens the sky, reminding us that endings can be gentle, not frightening. And every sunrise brings warmth, signaling that beginnings can be hopeful, not overwhelming. I’ve seen this reflected in children too. A boy who once refused to speak even a word gradually began naming colors, then objects, then sentences, his own personal sunrise rising slowly but steadily. These small victories teach us that no matter how long the night seems, dawn always arrives when nurtured with patience.

Receiving the National Award from the Hon’ble President of India was one such sunrise in my own journey, a moment filled with gratitude and humility. The honor felt like a tribute to every child who trusted me, every parent who believed in me, and every colleague who worked alongside me. What inspired me even more that day were the fellow awardees whose stories echoed strength. I met a teacher who devoted her life to supporting autistic children because she once struggled to find help for her own son, and a young man who, despite visual impairment, created accessible tools now used across schools. Their journeys reminded me that India’s strength lies in the courage of ordinary people doing extraordinary work quietly, consistently, and selflessly.

Children teach us something every single day. Some shine differently, think differently, behave differently, and their brilliance often goes unnoticed simply because it doesn’t align with society’s predictable definitions. But every child has a spark uniquely their own. When we offer them early intervention, emotional safety, patient listening, and a nurturing environment, that spark transforms into a steady glow. Many times, the children who were once doubted become the ones who surprise us the most, excelling academically, expressing themselves beautifully, or developing remarkable life skills. Their journeys remind us that greatness is not measured by conformity but by authenticity. And when we choose to recognize their individuality instead of comparing them to a mold, we give them the wings to rise higher than anyone ever expected.

Through all these experiences, I’ve realized that my work has never been just about treating hearing loss, it has always been about touching lives at their deepest core. It has been about restoring confidence to a child who was afraid to speak, bringing relief to a parent who felt lost, and empowering educators to see beyond limitations. It has been about transforming silence into communication, fear into readiness, and hesitation into pride. Every smile, every milestone, every little victory has reinforced that humanity grows stronger when we choose empathy as our guide.

My belief grows stronger each day, miracles begin the moment we choose hope over fear, compassion over judgment, and action over hesitation. When hearts open, possibilities open. When hearts choose hope, miracles don’t just happen, they multiply, beautifully and endlessly, touching lives far beyond what our eyes can see. And this, to me, is the true essence of spreading positivity.
