Worry ends when faith in God begins...
It is often said that if we keep worrying about our past experiences and remain anxious about the future, we disturb the peace of our present. We have come into this world with a purpose. I strongly feel that when your purpose is real and meaningful, you automatically learn from your past, work sincerely in your present, and shape a better future. By God’s grace, you become so engaged in meaningful action that you simply don’t have time to worry. Anything done with passion, be it praying to God, loving your children and family, serving your country, or working towards a cause, always leads you to purpose. And that purpose not only lights the lives of others but also illuminates your own life. I remember during a recent radio interview on Vividh Bharati, when the RJ asked me what message I would like to give as an individual, my instant reply was: “I want everyone to be happy and to spread love.” That response truly came from faith.
God has sent us into this universe surrounded by abundance—the sun, the moon, the stars, air, water, plants, food, and countless natural resources that even animals and birds share with us. Animals and birds may not have an intellectual brain like humans, yet they live in natural harmony. We, on the other hand, have been blessed with intelligence and awareness so that we can discover our purpose and live joyfully. But instead of using this gift wisely, we often overthink and create unnecessary worries. God has sent us here to live with purpose and happiness, yet what do we end up doing?
While reading a book, I came across beautiful narrations of faith. Radha’s divine connection with Lord Krishna through pure love. Draupadi’s bond of dignity and protection. Sudama’s friendship beyond economic differences. Arjuna’s surrender to Krishna as a mentor who guided him to fight against adharma. Even those who lived with negative deeds were ultimately liberated through divine grace. The gopis of Vraj saw Krishna as their protector in every circumstance. Each relationship reflected a different emotion, yet the foundation was the same—unshakable faith.
These stories have been narrated by many authors in different languages, perspectives, and emotional tones. Interpretations may vary, but the core message remains constant: every revered personality in our history had immense faith in Lord Krishna. That faith gave them strength, clarity, and direction. I deeply believe that when we truly listen to these stories with an open heart, they remind us that worry ends where faith begins.
I have also read that animals and birds, though they may not possess the intellectual reasoning that humans have, still live with clear purpose. They nurture their young, protect their territory, and fulfill their role in maintaining ecological balance. Nature provides for them, and they respond instinctively. Humans, however, go beyond basic needs of survival and protection. Along with intelligence, we have added comparison and competition to our lives, and that is where worry begins to multiply.
Today, comparison and competition are fed into children from a very young age. We forget that God has created every human being with unique qualities and individual potential. The brain and abilities given to us are divine blessings. The question is, how are we utilizing them? When we misuse our intelligence for constant comparison, worry accumulates. But the moment we truly surrender with faith, worry starts dissolving.
When I see parents of special children, I witness living faith. Despite immense challenges, they dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their child’s growth. They consult doctors, understand their child’s potential, face ups and downs, and continue walking with resilience and hope. Their faith in God gives them strength to search for the right path. I draw immense inspiration from such parents. My connection with them has only deepened my own faith and helped me see a clearer path in life. For everything I have experienced and learned, I say with gratitude, thank you, God.
Faith does not mean absence of challenges; it means presence of inner strength. Worry will knock at our doors again and again, but faith gently reminds us that we are guided, protected, and purposeful. When we shift our focus from fear to trust, from comparison to contribution, and from anxiety to action, life transforms. Let us choose faith consciously. Let us choose purpose deliberately. And above all, let us choose to spread happiness and love, because where faith resides, worry simply cannot survive.
