PROVE YOURSELF AND NOT OTHERS
|| PROVE YOURSELF AND NOT OTHER ||
Once read a beautiful statement in one of the books about psychology that "If you can face yourself in a mirror then you can face anyone in your life" this resembles our Indian culture and its values. Our Indian culture is old, rich that to date it sounds young. If anyone takes a look at our country India, they’ll be surprised that even 3000 years back there were inventions of effective medicines, books of inner interventions, analysis and studies of geographical values, today in scientific research those self-cure medicines are also with us. Yogic Kridas for concentration, keeping mind, and heart-healthy is also our invention. Elephants which are a symbol of having attitude yet softness are our real culture which we all have forgotten. Even when one describes an Indian woman who has an attitude with softness, divinity, graceful body, and manners!!!....... We all need to sit and Analyse how well can we preserve this ???
Dr. Arnold Toyanbi, a research scientist says that Indian culture written in Bhagwad Geeta or any book written by any Guru or Sant all books are self-inspired and every book has their self-experience and narration of changes because of their own experiences and those changes are continuous. He also said that the five sense organs in our body do make changes in our life but major changes happen because of self-expectations. He also mentioned that people in India have seen the evolution from monkey to “Adi-Manav” to presentable human beings but every evolution also shows that for evolution to happen their needs to be the existence of God everywhere. In a simpler way, one other scientist said, “In my 45 years of life there have been a lot of changes in my body and mind, due to external environment and circumstances, but still in my heart I always remember the beautiful smile of god which I saw 20 years ago. This is our culture, this is us, we need to find ourselves. I visit one temple every year just to see the smile of a Goddess idol. It's always mesmerizing.
Our old shastras say we need to move from adharma to dharma, to come out from lie and move towards truth, to move from darkness towards light and move from fake to reality and from negativity to positivity, we know all that the time has come we need to implement it. I read in a book that if you see one big railway station platform of India from only six divided bioscopes from up then you will find it more crowded than all the stars and planets of our galaxy. Here the author describes that we all have that immense power and culture to generate. We all need to be together and need to belong to our strength and cultural values and need to prove to ourselves, not to others. Imagine Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bose when he opened his scientific laboratory which was recognized by all other labs at an international level, he never said he is opening a Scientific Research center instead he said, “I’m here to inaugurate divine temple where I have learned to analyze my potential.” Hmm ....isn't it just amazing to know!
All of us have brains, which sometimes thinks too much. The greater part of human pain is unnecessary, it is self-created as long as the unobserved mind runs your life as we discussed before its unconscious mind runs faster. The mind that you create now always has some form of nonacceptance, some kind of unconscious resistance to what it is. We get attracted to any research or education or fashion or food which gets introduced to us, but we forget to analyze where is the origin? Is it worth it? Are we fit for it? We start comparing, we start analyzing, we get attracted, get influenced, or carried away and we forget that we have our own power which is stronger than this. Life will become much easy and painless if we understand that. Today we follow and adopt other cultures or education faster without understanding that we also have with us that rich heritage, culture, and education.
This Pandemic has taught us that we need to trust the process. The process of our cultural values, respect for elders, joint family, kindness, humanity, our rituals home remedies, Yogic Vidhya, faith in god all of these are powerful treasures of our life. We need to pay attention to them, we need to start believing in its richness and need to prove for our own self. So many senior citizens for whom the survival due to deadly coronavirus was difficult to have overcome very well due to these values. This fall especially in Indians has come as preparation for new growth and growth of our community and our country. This Pandemic has also taught us the difference between our work and our own karmas.
Working with parents I have seen many times we don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are. Recently one parent came to me who was highly educated and had a child who had many medical issues since birth. After good care and a lot of struggles, she learned to do best for her child. She had good support from her husband and in-laws and her child also is very intelligent. But the moment the child got into education and attending school she started looking at her child like any other child and started getting worried, and became so sensitive and tensed in front of the child that the child also started feeling the same. Rather than analyzing her potential to fight for her child, she started feeling helpless for her own child. I made her analyze that and we found that rather than having speech problems the child had more behavior issues. This happens with all of us, we start comparing and looking at other people or countries but we forget what we have and what our community and country have....the time is here we need to look at ourselves and need to prove our self however we are.
If you want to be something or if you want to be a legend. You must train with legends. What I have started doing is spreading positivity, I have started being with more positive people, I have started to understand positive people and their experiences. This positivity is in abundance in our cultural books written by our rishis and spiritual personalities who have always shown the path of truth and the path of divinity. If we all start doing that our perspective will be different. We will see our own self and our universe differently. Just think about it.
We all are wonderful god created human beings, we are born to make a difference. Let's work to analyze our soul with our mind and body. In difficult times like these Indian cultural values, King Ashoka and Mahatma Gandhi's path for truth without violence and understanding of dharma from Ramkrishna Parmahans point of view is all that will help us to survive so let’s work on it. Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect. I have started proving to myself through reading and writing and implementing my own Indian cultural values in my daily life ...what about you? Do you all agree with me? "We need to prove ourselves to ourselves, not to others”.
