|| Intentions Create Destiny ||
Being in the medical profession I meet so many kids, youngsters, and senior citizens. Over 30 years I have met almost all people from all types of professions, religions, economic backgrounds, caste, communities, and countries. Also, I have travelled a lot nationally and internationally. While doing all these things, I love to observe people, what they do, what they think, what is so good about them what I can learn from them. Now, if I have to differentiate them then I will just put people in two categories like having good intentions and not being clear about intentions. I being a positive person will never say people with bad intentions. We see intentions like fighting for the country or sacrificing for the country or fighting for rituals of community or sacrifice to save community or fight for the family or sacrifice for the community. Over the years as generation goes towards scientific revolution and in fast speed, in technology, it is slowly reaching to having intentions to fight only for your own self in simple or sarcastic language believe in the selfie. So the intentions of being self-centered reach towards the destiny of being lonely and having a lot of mental health issues having stress and peer pressure, social media pressure, competition, and many more.
Lord Krishna was in-depth in love with Radha who was from a lower community. His parents Nandji and Yashoda were not ready to make him marry a low community girl. Nandji and even the real parents of Lord Krishna wanted Lord Krishna to fight against adharma and save the people of Mathura from Kansa. Guru Ganagacharya came to Lord Krishna to take him to Sandipani Ashram and learn about how to fight in a war (yuddha). Lord Krishna said I am ready to fight for the people of Mathura but please let me marry the person whom I love and also you as guru knows that I am born to fight for dharma but till the time I am in Vrindavan let me be the same naughty boy who plays with Gwalas and Gopis. Also, I would prefer to be with a person who has good intentions to only care for me and wants to sacrifice everything for me. They all love my melodies of Bansuri and their intentions only to love me so I will be with them. In those days also caste, community, and values of sacrifice were also there, and those people with whom those feelings God always is there with them. Today also a lady who sacrificed her love, Lord Krishna has always remembered with her name "RADHE KRISHNA.''
The above story is written and heard by people over the years. It says God is always with them who believes in feelings, values, sacrifice, and kindness. My faith in Krishna makes me observe this so much in-depth. Those senior citizens are in our country who are in a relationship over the years with each other, always there with each other, care for each other majority of them have faith in God. They pray every day, they believe in helping others. So humble and kind always thinks positively. They try to listen to you, understand you, value what you do for them. They don't like to take away your time and if they feel you have time to listen to them they want to share so many experiences which they have to learn from their life. Many times such stories you hear that you feel you as an individual have never learned about this. So many senior citizens' intentions to help their kids have made them sacrifice their own happiness.
I know one Gujarati couple who have two sons one who stays abroad and one here but after getting married got separated from their parents. Parents sacrifice their whole life to make them study well and then parents have a difficult time surviving for their livelihood. Parents' intentions are to make children study well but kids' intentions now are to live their own life, why to keep the burden of parents. Mother had Asthma, and to save money for her treatment she use to come walking because she never had enough money to travel by any means of transportation. She used to sit for almost half an hour then talk to me. Over the years son got problems in his marriage, he had to go through a divorce and give alimony to his wife so had to give away his property. These parents got his son back to his house and took care of him in his difficult time and recently mother asked me please search for a nice girl for my son later on when we are not around who will take care of him??? I literally cried, see these parents are real warriors created by God who knows always, how to fight. I think in today's world if I have learned to learn something I will learn from someone who has a good heart and good intentions.
Recently in the JOSH Foundation, we helped two kids who are also partially blind. They both have an only mother, father passed away and mother works so hard to take care of the kids. They are around 15 to 20 years of age. It's very difficult for mothers to take them from one place to another and to communicate with them as they cant see also. We have organized an event and we were to donate hearing aids to them so she took leave from work and came with both kids. We had to program the hearing aids for kids so we had to call them again to the clinic, so she calmly said I took leave today, I can't take them again tomorrow so is it possible I come on the day when I have no work? See the sincerity of her towards her kids as well as her work. She values what she is getting?? On a humanitarian basis, I requested her to take some of my clothes which are in good condition, and asked her, "will you please sell them rather than just donate for free. You will be able to earn some money from this which will help you to help your kids." She just very humbly reverted, "as you say." I mean today's youngsters just learn from these intentions our destiny will take us to a new pinnacle. I do pray for such people with them God always should be there rather I should say, always there and they somehow get the way to survive.
We recently got one picture of Narayan murti (founder of Infosys) touching the feet of Ratan Tata at an award ceremony. He considered Ratan Tata as the guru of values and ethics. This is the uniqueness of Indian culture. Our culture teaches us respect is not bonded in the chain of wealth, it's in values that we have been hearing from thousand of years from the time Lord Krishna was born. On 07th December 2021, we celebrated Swami Vivekanand's 100th birthday who just had intentions to serve the people with humility. He gave importance to love and humility, people may be from any religion, community, or country. See the destiny the whole world salutes him on his birthday and gives him respect. We especially youngsters if learning little also is our destiny will take us to a different and beautiful world.
We started JOSH Foundation with the intention of helping hearing-impaired kids and see their destiny has made me write so much about positivity and spread love among the people learning from these hearing-impaired kids. What I have learned is that there is nothing more important than genuine presence and showing everyone you love, how much you care for them. Be present, treat others, especially those you love, like they are the only person that exists in this world, treat those people whom you be with maybe your parents, your spouse, your students, your employees, or people who are in need as they are special and matter to you and then see how the world will be? Make everyone feel special, unique, important. It builds the strongest bonds, the greatest friendships, and the best relationships.
Our intentions today and actions for the same are the seeds for our fate seeds which will grow into destiny and for that our destiny will be created by us. We need to understand that with the scientific revolution it is equally important to understand our cultural values from our own cultural textbooks which reflect our rich heritage. Let's work towards a great destiny with our good intentions to be better.
