|| IT'S WILL or SKILL ||
I read somewhere that in life, "waiting to win" is common, but "working to win" is genius. To build a more positive world, we must say "Make a nice day" rather than "Have a nice day." We are all unique in this world; we all have skills that set us apart from one another, but we also need the will to change and make a difference. Our everyday thought of making a positive difference will produce larger and more positive consequences. This time on the flight, I noticed the sun shining through the clouds and the moon hidden in the clouds, waiting for his turn to shine. The sun wills to work hard to create a day every day, and the moon wills to shine in the darkness to create a beautiful night for all of us. The world needs more shining people who want to shine day and night like the sun and moon. As the saying goes, "where there is a will, there is a way," therefore let us all work together to make a difference and make this planet a more beautiful place.
Lord Krishna guided the Pandavas to victory in the struggle of dharma against adharma in the Mahabharata. He was Arjuna's guiding force, and he advised him that he must battle against his own relatives, even if it is against his will. After the battle, Bhismah Pitamah, who was on Kauravas's side, lying on an arrow-made mat asked Lord Krishna when he paid a visit to him in the evening, "Whatever happened in the battle of Mahabharta, was it right? You, as a lord, were well aware of the consequences. Why didn't you stop it happening?" "Whatever happened during the war, I was never there," Lord Krishna said. "Those who fought, ask them." "The whole world may say that Pandavas won the fight, but I know that the battle is solely won by you, Lord Krishna," Pitamah continues. Lord Krishna beautifully responded, "Whatever happened, happened for the best." Bhishma Pitamah addressed Lord Krishna, "You who are the reincarnation of Lord Rama who believed tranquility that reincarnation cannot kill people by trap?" Lord Krishna stated that when Lord Rama was born, his foes, such as Ravana, who was also a big devotee of Lord Shiva. Though Ravana was a negative person, he had positive members in his family such as Vibishan and Mandodari. Even egoistic people like Ravana used to believe in dharma during Lord Rama's time. So Lord Rama never needed to set traps to murder people, but individuals like Duryodhana and Shakuni, who have committed several misdeeds, must be punished. We must learn from our forefathers, but we must also behave in accordance with present circumstances. Lord Krishna was also asked if he was not setting bad trends for the generation by building traps. Lord Krishna said that - "humans in the future must be more firm and practical, else dharma will not survive, and if a lot of negative energy is generated by people, the values of dharma will vanish." You cannot rely on God for everything; nevertheless, God can assist you in finding direction. In order to survive in the world and uphold dharma, all humans must have a strong desire to work hard. Lord Krishna clearly stated to Bhishma Pitamah, "Did I do anything in battle? Pandavas did everything; they worked hard to win the battle. I was merely a guiding force."
When we are born, our parents have the desire to be wonderful parents so that we might enjoy the best lives possible. I have observed, most parents desire to do the best for their child, but they forget that they don't allow their child to grow on their own. The will to struggle for one's own progress is essential for an individual's basic development. Making your child skilled in education or extracurricular activities is a separate issue; it adds flavor to a wonderful existence if "to have a will" is there first. I was working with a stammering patient.
He was in the seventh standard. He was having difficulty socializing because of his stammering. His parents wanted him to make friends and engage with people. After speaking with him in session, I discovered that he was eager to learn cricket. I recommended his parents that he should join cricket coaching so that he could study at his own pace and interact with others. When he first arrived, he was a completely different boy; now he began to appreciate moments of learning cricket as well as conversing with others. First will, and this allows you to be more skilled.
When we grow and learn education, it is up to us to select what we want to do with our lives. Some people priorities higher education and high-profile jobs, while others are content with good work and a fulfilling existence. Those that are ambitious worry about what and how they will achieve success, while others are concerned about how they will cope in this rat race. A beautiful study was done by scientists regarding your mind and how your thinking determines your success rate. People's journey from - I want to, to I want to take 50% of your will and hard work, and then from I want to, I can, I am, and I did, takes your will to do hard work and develop your skills. Your destiny is determined by how soon you are willing to begin your journey in the positive direction of I can and I did, decides your future. I was listening to one of our gurus when he mentioned that people who have confidence in God and believe that no matter what occurs, God will be there to assist them attain success faster. Most of them have a contented soul, and it is uncommon to discover someone who has used their thinking to help others.
One of the facts of life is that we exist in this universe as a result of God's creation and will. We completely live for God, yet we forget to give fears and stress. In this competitive world, we constantly compare ourselves to others, but we forget that we all came on God's will to this earth for different reasons. It is said that when the sun shines, the sun flower shines, and when the sun sets, the sun flower loses its attractiveness. But under other weather conditions, when there isn't much shine, they lose their will to shine. At that point, they go close to each other and observe that they are equally competitive with each other, and they all feel that they will only shine when they have the desire to shine like the sun. They are nothing without the sun. Similarly, we must all believe that we can only shine if we get positive energy from God and are not harmed by any other destructive energy or environmental difficulties. Only God's will will make us skilled.
There is a story in our books about Akbar being the most powerful person and having all the skilled people in his empire. Once Akbar heard of a guru named Kumbhandas who had a very lovely voice and sang very well. He was a soul who was lost in devotion to God and was unconcerned about anything in this realm. Akbar was highly inquisitive about him and wanted to summon him to his kingdom. He insisted on Kumbhandas attending his darbar. Kumbhandas was a great devotee of Lord Krishna; he had no other desire but to perform prayers only for his God, Lord Krishna. He went there at the request of King Akbar. When he was asked to perform, he never wanted to sing for anyone other than God, and he was very clear about it. So, to mention in his bhajans that he never gets called again, he said, "I have to see the face of such a person because of him, I am losing time to be closer to God." Everyone was taken aback as he spoke those words firmly in front of the king, who is the most powerful and makes people fearful. Your will alone determines your confidence, and your confidence comes from your faith, which occurs when you have the will to believe that God exists.
My will to help deaf children, my will to make a difference, my will to create positivity in this world has not come from my skills, but from my faith in Lord Krishna and his will to guide me to be a better human being. The day we all realize our will is only possible with God's will, skills will develop on their own, and the day will and skill will go hand in hand, success will come like a miracle. This is how I felt. How about you?
