The possibilities are endless...

The possibilities are endless... There is a saying that those who can see the invisible can do the impossible. It is also said that possibilities are endless, but it depends on how we act and react to them. Those who overcome difficulties and focus on possibilities are people with determined minds and strong willpower. They see endless opportunities in life. The best example for me is our hearing-impaired kids. Even though one of their senses does not function well, even though they sometimes feel isolated from mainstream society, even though they struggle to get education, employment, and social status, they still face everything with smiling faces and give their best. They are humble, grateful at heart, and happy with whatever God has given them. Technology has brought a revolution for them, and today, many hearing-impaired people with 80–90% hearing difficulty have achieved higher education, like PhDs in physics, careers as social entrepreneurs, interior designers, architects,...

Find beauty in simple things…

Find beauty in simple things…. Positivity is a simple word, but when you put it into action, it creates a greater impact. My writings on positivity were initially just an attempt to think differently, but now, when I reflect deeply, I realize that the word is simple yet powerful enough to change a person’s life. As you know, I have been writing for more than 5 years, and many people call me or meet me to discuss how to remain positive. I try my best to help them find the best solutions to their difficulties. When I published my book, one elderly gentleman came to me and said, “I am 82, retired, educated, but restless because I feel I have not done anything purposeful in my life. I enjoy writing and dream of publishing my own book, but I don’t know how to go about it.” I advised him to simply start writing whatever came to his mind, and once he had written at least 50 pages, he could review them and identify the core message he wanted to share with society. Age is just a number. O...

Enjoy Life While It Is Yours...

Enjoy Life While It Is Yours... Enjoy life while it is yours… wow! What a positive way to remind ourselves that life, though it feels like a roller coaster, is meant to be enjoyed. Many times, you wake up in the morning with a plan, things to do at home and at the workplace, and suddenly, life surprises you. For instance, you may plan to go out, but instead get a surprise visit from a friend you haven’t met in a long time. You cancel your earlier plans and spend time enjoying the beautiful moments of reconnecting. Or, you set out for work and suddenly the train or bus is unavailable. You are compelled to reach the office, so you try different ways, an auto, then a taxi, and even walking. Somehow, you manage. And the satisfaction of finally reaching is beyond imagination. Recently, something similar happened. We were traveling for two days, and it was hectic. But in those two days, we completed our work and also visited temples. Though long queues of people stood waiting, we were p...

Self-respect Starts with the Self....

Self-respect Starts with the Self ... There are a lot of books and literature written on self-respect and self-realization. I searched, and some say self-respect is everything. Some say self-respect is when you give and then you receive. Some say self-respect is a reflection of your own self-worth. Others say self-respect is when your thoughts, words, and actions are in harmony. Another theory says self-respect is the fruit of discipline, a sense of dignity that grows when you learn to say no to yourself. Many times, to go with the flow of peers, situations, and time, we take decisions that become difficult to deal with in the future. As individuals, we learn values from our parents, gain good education, and become professionally efficient, yet in the rat race, whether for marketing, selling, or earning quick money, we sometimes degrade ourselves. We do things that are unnecessary, beneath our dignity, and seek short-term benefits, repeating the same cycle again and again. Why? D...
