Sound of Love....

Image
Sound of Love.... Our human brain hears sound, interprets and understands it, and then expresses it in our own way. This means that if every human being hears the sound of love, everyone will learn to express themselves through their own sound of love. Love has no boundaries, and similarly, the sound of love knows no boundaries either. I feel that love for sound and the sound of love are deeply interconnected. Recently, I have encountered many adult patients with mild to moderate hearing loss who have not fully experienced sound. As a result, their speech is unclear, they lack confidence, struggle with their work, feel different from others, and face many other negative emotions. Those who cannot hear around 95% as others with normal hearing do often miss out on sound in life, and with it, the experience of receiving and feeling love from others. Hearing sound is essential not only for communication but also for spreading love. This is something I have come to understand deeply o...

Quality Time, Quality Bonding...

Image
Quality Time, Quality Bonding.... When a devotee engages in intense prayers and gets lost in the divine feelings of faith in God, and when they start feeling that God is present with them to look after them, that is the moment they develop a true and profound bond with God. The day a devotee experiences this real connection, miracles begin to happen in their life. We have heard the story of Shravana, a true devotee of God, who believed that after God, his parents were the real gods on this earth. To honor them, he carried both of his parents on his shoulders and took them on a pilgrimage, demonstrating to the world the unimaginable bond between parents and a son. Similarly, the bond between Draupadi and Lord Krishna was miraculous, exemplifying the relationship of a brother and sister. Another example is the bond between Ratan Tata and his employees, which has set an example for this generation. All these examples were only possible because of the quality time devoted to each oth...

Celebrate the Individuality of your Child.....

Image
Celebrate the Individuality of your Child We were traveling in Norway from Oslo to Tromsø. It was a short flight, and we had two cabin crew members serving on this European flight. One of the cabin crew looked very beautiful, and as an audiologist who works with ears, I noticed she had a beautifully shaped ear, almost as if it were carved. I felt like talking to her, so I mentioned that she had a beautiful ear shape. She thanked me and started laughing. I asked where she was from, and she said she was born and raised in Iceland and loves her country. I told her I work with ears and had never seen an ear quite like hers. She promptly replied, "Somehow, I'm lucky; I have good genes." Her reply made me think deeply. I saw the Northern Lights, which people in Iceland and Norway believe bring blessings from ancestors, and now this girl spoke about her genes, giving them so much value. We are all born with unique genes from our ancestors, which include blessings from our gods...

In the midst of darkness, light persists

Image
In the midst of darkness, light persists I have always felt that when we think about nature and positivity, the sight of a rainbow never fails to bring smiles to people’s faces. It signifies optimism and hope, symbolizing sunshine after the rain. A rainbow is made up of countless tiny raindrops, just as happy lives are built from countless small acts of kindness. This is a thought that resonates with everyone who sees a rainbow in the sky. However, when I recently saw the Northern Lights in Iceland, my perspective shifted. Watching those vibrant colors dancing across the sky, surrounded by shining stars, filled me with an incredible sense of awe and positivity. Scientifically, the colors of the Northern Lights result from electrons entering Earth’s atmosphere and colliding with gaseous particles. As humans, we often have an emotional response to darkness, feeling uneasy or foreboding when it appears in the sky or in our lives. But the Northern Lights reminded me that even in the ...

Consistency is the Key to Success...

Image
Consistency is the Key to Success... Consistency is a value that has shaped my entire journey as an audiologist and an advocate for the hearing-impaired. It’s often said that consistency is the key to success, and I’ve come to believe in this more deeply every day through my work. For me, consistency means showing up for my patients with empathy, optimism, and dedication, even on the toughest days. Watching these children grow, connect, and flourish has shown me that success is not always about major milestones; sometimes, it’s in the steady, small steps we take each day to bring light and positivity into their lives. God is the one true constant, and it’s because of His consistency that we all survive. He consistently gives us sunlight, the moon to dispel darkness, air, food, and water to sustain us. The beautiful part is that, to God, everyone is the same—be it His devotees or those who stray. Just because some people may not be good, He does not alter His consistency. It's we,...

Positive Self Talk is Essential....

Image
Positive Self Talk is Essential... Two of the beautiful statements I read were narrated by our finest personality, Shri Ratan Tata, who recently left us with so much motivation and a thought process filled with positivity. He said, "I never believe in taking the right decisions; I take decisions and make them right." Another statement is, "Never start a business to make money; start a business to make a difference." This great man made a significant difference in various areas of life, whether it be education, transportation, steel production, cars, and many more businesses. He used to say very firmly that there is no substitute for hard work. Your heart knows your soul, your body knows its potential, and you just need to utilize them in the best possible manner. To keep your mind, body, heart, and soul in sync, your potential must flow in harmony, and then nothing is difficult. To achieve this, you must have self-talk. I read in a psychology book that if you can ...

Image
Spreading Positivity Blog: A Catalyst for Change Devangi Dalal's Spreading Positivity blog has emerged as a beacon of hope and transformation for me and countless individuals. She clearly emphasizes on sharing stories, insights, and experiences related to positivity, to ensure her work for the hearing-impaired community stands to motivate people. Through each post, she tried to encourage readers to adopt a positive outlook on life, regardless of the challenges they face. Her writings don’t merely aim to inspire, they are a direct call to action, urging people to shift their perspectives and embrace the power of positivity in their daily lives. One of the most significant impacts of her blog is how it has touched the lives of those dealing with disabilities. By sharing stories of hearing-impaired individuals overcoming odds, she tried to demonstrate that no obstacle is insurmountable. These real-life examples provide a source of motivation for not just people with disabiliti...
